Spent some great time with John and Linda Manka in South Carolina, and a short trip into Savannah Georgia, then headed to Okefenoke Wildlife Refuge on the east side – pretty neat!

In Florida, we enjoyed our visits with Norm and Carolyn Ringenberg, Lee and Carol Yordy, and Rick and Sally Renken – all folks from Flanagan. Then had some great visits and sightseeing with family – Mike and Sharla Savidge, and their son Conrad.

Conrad graciously allowed us to park the RV in his driveway and hook into his electricity so our fridge food would stay cold! His landlord got a little suspicious, and checked to see if we were legitimately parking there, and was relieved to know that we were actually staying with Mike and Sharla – not “free camping”.

After visiting with friends and family in Florida, we are heading west toward Louisiana, with some sightseeing stops along the way. And hopefully with some internet service to be able to add to our blog.

Enjoyed a wet and wild show at the Florida State Fair watching a daredevil on a hoverboard fly, spin and somersault above the water.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

  2. Hi Shari and Bud! Sounds like a great journey you’re on. If you’re heading to Louisiana you might pass through my home town, Mobile!
Stay safe and enjoy the experience.
