We have been having lovely weather – sunny days and mild temperatures! Until today, February 17!

Stayed in a quiet, peaceful Florida State Forest Campground last night and woke up to rain, and a drop in temperatures.

After driving along the coastline that alternated between sand dunes, charming small towns, and expansive (and certainly) expensive high rise hotels, and condominiums, we arrived at a small maritime museum with interesting displays featuring the seacoast fishing industry, and affect of hurricanes, and the Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill.

Then we began looking for a campground – all full! and the temps are to be in the low 30’s tonight. So we opted for a motel rather than the Walmart parking lot with no electricity for heat! Guess we are still softies!

Keep meeting friendly people everywhere we go. And God has a sense of humor in landscapes – but so enjoyable to see and experiences the differences.

Sending blessing to you!

  1. Hi Bud and Shari,
Just letting you know I am enjoying reading about your trip. I agree with Melissa, motel is better than no electric and temps in the 30s. Excited to read on about this adventure. We will miss you but will enjoy following along on this adventure with you. Stay safe.
