What is the purpose of life – or more specifically, my life?
It is a pretty common question at some point, or perhaps at many points, in our lives.

Recently, our son Reynold encouraged us to see the movie “The Jesus Revolution”.  A pastor at a church we visited encouraged all his congregation to go see the movie.  Sunday, March 26 we attended Crossroads Church in Casa Grande AZ, and the Pastor urged his congregation to go see it!  So we decided to find a theater showing it and watch it.  Great choice!

Be sure to see this movie!

While we were not “hippie’s” and our lives were fairly settled, we did find ourselves comparing our faith journey with the Gospels and book of Acts, and feeling like we were missing out on something.

The Jesus Revolution sparked an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that continues!  When we visited the Crossroads Church, it was their second Sunday in their new building.  Last week the attendance was over 2000, and over 90 people committed their lives to become Jesus followers.  Most interesting to us was the age group of this church.  The praise team members appeared to be early to mid-40’s.  But the congregation on our side of the sanctuary was filled with folks our age! (Old folks!)

These were people who were likely part of Full Gospel and Aglow like we were back in the 1970’s and 1980’s.  And their fervor continues.  Because the Holy Spirit continues to bring life and vitality to those who “want more of Jesus!”

Go see “The Jesus Revolution”.  You owe it to yourself, your family, your friends, your church!
