We are amazed at the structures of very early houses and communities in the Southwest. Estimates are from 800 to 1300 AD.
They are scattered over a wide area, and evidence from artifacts shows the Native Americans had a wide trade network as well. Some communities likely had 2,000 or more inhabitants!
