Sand Island Beach

Off the train and into a van

to the next destination:  Sand Island Beach on the Indian Ocean

and snorkeling opportunities and starfish gathering for photo shots

We loved the diversity of God’s sea creatures – some so beautiful, and some not so beautiful

fresh seafood every day – red snapper, parrot fish, shrimp, crab

We had a chef prepare our food each day – wages were 1000 shillings per day ($10 US Dollars!)  The food was oh so good!

After 4 days of beachfront living, we headed back toward Nairobi with a stop at Amboseli National Park.  Stay tuned for the next episode of our family journey.
